Book Review: The Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

Hey friends, Elle here!

I just finished The Fourth Wing and I am honestly still in awe. This book swept me away from the very beginning and held on tight the whole way through. What really blew me away though were the dragons. They aren’t just creatures in the background—they’re fully alive, each with such distinct looks and personalities that I found myself falling for them as much as the human characters. Getting those glimpses into their minds made everything feel so real, and the bonds they share with their riders were powerful and emotional in a way that gave me goosebumps.

And while the dragons completely stole the show, the story itself had me hooked just as much. It’s thrilling and dangerous, filled with those gasp-out-loud twists that keep you turning pages late into the night. The romance sprinkled through the story adds the perfect spark—and yes, the perfect amount of spice—to balance all the action. And of course, Xaden… wow. I’ll just leave it at that.

By the time I turned the last page, I knew this wasn’t just another fantasy read for me—it was an experience. The kind of story that takes over your imagination and lingers long after you’re done. I can already tell this is going to be one of those books I recommend again and again, because it truly is something special.
